whew, did the end of the year just fly by for anyone else? in case you didn’t know, when i’m not at my 9-5, i’m a photographer! mostly weekends, and the end of the year is the busiest time! my blog got right away from me. my life got away from me! it’s january!? what!?
aaaanyway, i wanted to share a few of my favorite photo moments of 2019! i hope to soon merge my blog with my photo website, but until then, here’s a little taste what you can expect when you have a session with me!
first up: an engagement session with laura & george as part of their wedding photography package! we spent a very cold, rainy morning at the battery (go braves!), that at the time we thought, ew gross, until wedding day came and we were melting in 95 degree heat! literally the hottest memorial day we’ve ever had in georgia. (i think. it had to have been.)
next up: pet minis! this was my second year doing the pet mini sessions. they began last year as an attempt to raise money for my dog who was newly diagnosed as diabetic. his initial tests cost me about $600, then a $100 test every couple weeks, and medicine adjustments until we got his insulin dose right. (yes, he gets shots twice a day!) because last year was a success, i decided to make it an annual event! i love dogs! some even showed up in their pride spirit attire!
another set of minis i’ve been doing for a couple years now: sunflower sessions! this year was great! first up, a couple session (and they ended up getting engaged just after!) next up: two maternity sessions for two great friends! and lastly, a senior session for a super sweet girl!
this year i did my very first boudoir session, and not just for one girl, but TEN! i was hired to photograph a women’s body empowerment party where all the girls had their photos taken. i was nervous because it was a little out of my norm, but i had THE BEST TIME and learned so much. these girls were beautiful, and confident, and loved every second of this. so much so that they made me feel SO COMFORTABLE behind the camera. it was amazing!
another (semi) first this year: newborn sessions! i’ve photographed one in the past, but not very well, haha. this year i photographed newborn sessions for both maternity sessions that were held at the sunflower farm! baby addison and baby kennedy made their appearances at the end of 2019!
lastly, my favorite photos of the year: me and my boy. while i didn’t physically take these images, i had my sister come help. i adjusted the camera settings and gave her a little instruction, then edited them myself. they turned out pretty damn great! she’s getting better and better! (she’s my token christmas card photo taker! murphy loves his auntie sara so she can get him to do the good poses!)
there were many more sessions in between and i met so many amazing people this year. thank you for letting me be your go-to to capture your favorite, most cherished moments! looking forward to another great year! 🙂
